Class Descriptions
Yoga Basics
Have you let the thoughts, “I am not flexible enough to do yoga or I don’t know the yoga poses” stop you from coming to class? We’ll you’ve found the right class. This class was designed to help you release tension and teach you the basics of yoga. You will leave this class feeling confident in how to do all the basic yoga poses even if you’ve never done yoga before.
Yoga Basics follows a revolving 8 week Beginner Yoga Curriculum that will teach you how to do all the foundational yoga poses and teach you the yoga terms.
Slow Flow
You’ve completed our Beginner Yoga Curriculum and you're looking to begin to flow but feel a little intimidated to try our Vinyasa Flow class. This class is the bridge between Beginner Yoga and our more advanced class Vinyasa Flow.
In Slow Flow, you link together the yoga basics you learned in Beginner Yoga and begin to Flow. This is a slow paced class which links poses together by synchronizing the breath to movement. The poses are beginner friendly with no crazy moves.
This class is perfect for anyone who has completed our Beginner Yoga Curriculum or feels confident with the yoga basics.
You will leave this class feeling connected, peaceful, and refreshed.
Flow
You feel confident with the yoga basics and you are ready to be physically and mentally challenged.
This is a faster paced flow yoga class, which links poses together by synchronizing the breath to movement, allowing you to slow down your breath and quiet your mind. You have the opportunity to learn some intermediate yoga poses safely and accessibly. Between each sequence, you can enjoy a vinyasa flow- plank to chaturanga to upward facing dog to downward facing dog.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a passive yet powerful practice where poses are held for 3-5 minutes. (Don’t worry we aren’t holding poses like Warrior II or Crow for 3-5 minutes) This class is designed to target your connective tissue, also known as fascia; to help stretch your muscles and increase mobility. The practice focuses on the breath and emphasizes stillness helping you experience a deeper stretch, mentally and physically.
This class is perfect for the yogi who is looking to slow down, find stillness, and go within. Yin yoga is a beautiful compliment to the dynamic nature of Yoga Basics, Slow Flow, and Flow.
Meditation
You've heard of the amazing benefits of meditation but feel like you aren't meditating right because your mind keeps wandering or struggle to find a consistent meditation practice.
This class was designed to teach you the basics of meditation and help you build a consistent practice. You will leave this class feeling relaxed, calm, peaceful, and zen.
This class is perfect for anyone who is new to meditation and wants to learn how to meditate or for the more advanced meditator who wants to add some accountability and consistency to their meditation practice.
